HAMPTONS Vodka: A brief history

HAMPTONS Vodka is the culmination of a three-year effort.  We started with the concept of bringing to market a high-end American made vodka.  We explored the possibility of producing the vodka right on Long Island from local potato, but after a few years of trying, it became obvious this could not be accomplished.  

We tested a variety of grains and waters from all over the US; we liked and chose yellow corn and the clear, clean waters of Minnesota.  The yellow corn is what gives HAMPTONS Vodka its full body, its round and full taste and bouquet, the smoothness is achieved by the 4 columns of filtration process.  

The design of the bottle had to reflect the essence of The Hamptons.  The feel of beach glass, the colors that are present there; the beauty of its beaches, the ocean, the color of the sky, and the hot summer sun.  All this encapsulated in one beautiful package called "The Hamptons", the playground of the rich and famous, the essence of the American dream.  More than just a place, it's a state of mind. 

When HAMPTONS Vodka was introduced at the Chicago Restaurant Show in May 1999, the response was overwhelming!  They were attracted by the bottle at first, but after tasting the vodka, they all said WOW!  How clean and smooth and with no aftertaste!

We have since done additional shows and tastings in many parts of the country with exactly the same results: WOW seems to be the buzzword. 

By mid-August we introduced it in The Hamptons, followed by Southern California in mid-September.  By this spring we will be in roughly half the country, and hopefully in the rest of the States before year-end. 

When we started the company it consisted of just two people. We have since added new personnel now that we are expanding into new markets.
